That's Horseracing
Here's another race story that should leave everyone laughing. Last Friday, May 21, we had 5 Selections. The First 2 Won so we had a profit more than enough to give us the last selection on the house. Laura Beasley was the horse.She was entered in the 8th Race at Hollywood Park.
Unfortunately, Fridays are evening racing starting at 7:00pm PST meaning 10pm EST. In other words, 1:30 in the AM for her race. Yes,we stayed up and had her in the late doubles and a nice Win bet as well. She was bet down to 9/2. A fair enough price to stay up for.
Now the punchline.. while loading the horses into the starting gate,the last horse acted up, banged her head on the starting gate and was Scratched..of course it was Laura Beasley... funny now, a bit annoying then, but as they say, "That's Horseracing".
