Asya Blue graduated from Parsons School of Design from the Communication Design department in 1990. She has worked as a book cover designer for Penguin Books and assistant art director for children’s magazines at Sesame Workshop, receiving design awards at both positions.
Ms. Blue also worked as an art director for Dolphin Log/Cousteau Kids Magazine, a children’s publication from The Cousteau Society, earning awards there as well. She went on to art direct at Scholastic Marketing Partners, Wilen Media and Bookspan.
She has worked on educational in-school materials for teachers and students, marketing direct mail campaigns for the cable television industry and direct mail book club catalogs. In addition to practicing graphic design, she also teaches it at CW Post, City College, NYU Polytechnic University and Parsons School of Design.
She has done freelance art direction and design for such clients as Agent RED International, Bloomsbury Books, Clarion Books, The ImpactCoalition, Kids Reference Company, Inc., Time Inc., Watch World International and many others.
She takes on such projects as Magazine Design, Corporate Identity, Catalogs, Direct Mail Marketing and Website Design.
